First 3 Questions
Which essential oils are good for relaxation after yoga?
Oooh, this is my jam. After a hot class I love a cold peppermint towel to wipe off my face and arms. For a more relaxing restorative or yin class, you can't go wrong with lavender.
Lately I have been diffusing peppermint, lemongrass and a citrus blend or just orange together. It's energetic!
Are there any props or accessories you recommend for home practice?
I cannot live without two blocks. If you know me and my yoga classes, two blocks is the ticket. My favorite type of block is a cork block by manduka - I cannot trust the filmsy pathetic foam blocks and simply have no need for them!
What are your thoughts on intermittent fasting or other dietary trends?
If it wasn't obvious - I LOVE INTERMITTENT FASTING. I love the research I have been reading about it, I love how it feels light and flowing, I love that I don't have to think about food as often and I love that for my clients, pain is clearing up for them. The hardest part of intermittent fasting is relearning your relationship with food. FOOD IS FUEL. That's it. It's not a reward. It's not a comfort blankey. It's like gasoline to a car. The good thing about a car is the gas take it just XX gallons and anything over that is excess and wasted as overflow. In the human body, excess and overflow turn into fat, inflammation, pain, swelling, discoloration, hives, itch and more.
MY THOUGHTS ON IF ARE - YES. :)
