November 2024 Q&A

Make sure to follow my personal account on Instagram @yogitrainer and also my business account @subala843 If Facebook is more your scene, I’m at www.facebook.com/subala843 I’d say you could subscribe to my emails but we all know I don’t send very many of them.. You can ask questions on any of those social media platforms!

I'd also like to encourage you to check out my Pinterest Page for any inspiration you didn't know you needed

First 3 Questions

  • What types of yoga classes do you offer?

    • I offer many types of classes. I am an Registered Yoga Teacher with over 300+ hours and soon I will have over 1000 hours. I can teach Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin and Iyengar derived classes. I am also certified to teach meditation and I am a Yoga Health Coach.

    • Primarily, I have been taking beginners and getting them comfortable with motions and movements of yoga so they can participate in in person classes.

  • How can I lose weight effectively?

    • Diet and exercise, but you knew that, right?

    • Weight loss is very simple. You must move your body enough so there are no extra calories to be stored because you didn't use them. It's the basic principle of "What goes in must come out." Furthermore, if what goes in doesn't come out - it's considered excess and will be store for future energy. Unfortunately here, future energy is fat. Don't get me wrong, FAT IS GREAT. Breast milk is derived from fat. Your fat cells play a HUGE part in your immune system. It's how we thermoregulate and it protects our integral organs. BUT, if you have too much fat, this puts you at a heart health risk among other things.

  • Do you use any specific skincare products before or after yoga?

    • I try not to go to a yoga class with anything that has fragrance in it because that can be an irritant to other students. If I am in a hot class I will use lip balm from The Golden Secrets (use Chrissie10 for a discount!!) but I try not to have a lot of make up on since it will quite literally slide down my face. Body oils are a no-go too since they increase the slick. After a yoga class I like to use Woo Body Wipes if I am going somewhere other than home but I am sure to dry off completely and use a blow dryer on my hair.

If you are looking for a way to learn how to set boundaries with your schedule, food choices or even more discipline with your workouts or time management, The Yoga Health Club might be for you. I don't know anyone who wouldn't be a good candidate actually. In the Yoga Health Club we move from surviving and just barely getting by to thriving in our own bodies, our own environment and we take back and redefine what HEALTH is, together.
