Questions

What inspired you to launch The Yoga Health Club, and how has your personal journey in wellness evolved since you started?

The Yoga Health Club is my way of teaching healthy habits and restorative activities of daily living to people that are extremely busy who may not be able to participate in person at my various events or cannot schedule specific times in because of their commitments. I wanted to foster community and step away from the 1:1 scene since typically hearing something from multiple voices can make more sense and resonance.

As we have evolved, what I thought were 7 themes has opened itself up to 12 themes including quarterly detoxes which I have extracted from the Yoga Health Club because I wanted the Detoxes to be financially attainable for everyone, quarter by quarter (but they're included for the YHC participants at no extra cost).

How do you incorporate mindful practices—like your morning routines and yoga—into your daily life during the busy start of the year?

Well, for starters, I am all about self study and evolution and it was just this January that I realized that I traditionally take the month of January slower than most months. This likely has to do with holiday travel, family obligations and people who are interested in their new workouts signing up to go 1:1 instead of mini groups.

Other that the schedule slow down, I also really like my morning quiet time, noticing that I enjoy waking up early to revel in self care and quiet time before my day turns into a much loved circus. Often times I have 8-12 appointments a day so stealing a few minutes of slowness in the morning helps me power through. This is when I make and drink my water, journal, meditate, maybe light a candle or the fire place and pull oracle cards for inspiration, and my face/bdy habits like using a neti pot, facial gua sha, oil pulling, etc.

What self-care strategies have you found most effective for balancing the demands of running a business with maintaining personal well-being?

Hands down, sitting in silence. Whether my eyes are closed or open, I am breathing or performing pranayama, sitting in sukhasana or journaling in the quiet, sitting down with no distractions hands down helps me handle the busy e=demands of starting a business.

As we welcome a new year, what exciting plans or new offerings do you have coming up for The Yoga Health Club that subscribers can look forward to?

The Subala 21 Total Life Detox will happen each season - we're in the middle of the Mindset Reset now and this spring will be a spring cleaning theme. They're always available for sale individually or together in the Total Life Package.

After that the Yoga Health Club is also always ongoing and is looking for some fresh faces and new to feeling good clients.

I am looking forward to writing a YTT manual and launching a Yoga Teacher Training but, as with most of what I look forward to, this probably won't kick off until Summer 2026.
