January 2024 Q&A

Make sure to follow my personal account on Instagram @yogitrainer and also my business account @subala843 If Facebook is more your scene, I’m at www.facebook.com/subala843 I’d say you could subscribe to my emails but we all know I don’t send very many of them.. You can ask questions on any of those social media platforms!

I'd also like to encourage you to check out my Pinterest Page for any inspiration you didn't know you needed

3 Questions

  1. How do you motivate and support clients in reaching their health and fitness goals? For starters, all of my in person clients have my phone number which is a huge bonus for both of us. I text them appointment reminders, they're free to reach out when they need help and I send motivating tidbits about hydration, nutrition, recovery and drive. Some clients opt in to taking measurements every 4, 6 or 8 weeks. These are girth measurements of the upper arm, waist, hip, thigh and calf. This is great for clients who are looking to lose inches but not necessarily looking at the scale. I also calculate BMI and Body Fat percentage using bioimpedence.

2. Do you provide guidance on injury prevention and recovery?

Of course, that's the part that comes second nature to me! I find I work best with clients who have had some sort of injury and we can combo strengthen and rehab at the same time.

3. Are you familiar with any specific dietary restrictions or considerations, such as vegetarianism or food allergies?

Of course, but there are so many, I know a little bit about a lot of nutrition restrictions. I do believe that with a balanced diet there is decreased risk of injury or deficiency however I'm hard pressed to know anyone with a perfect intake, including myself, so that's where supplementation comes into play.

I have my Fitness Nutrition Specialization and can provide a balanced diet that is specific to macros for muscle building or fat loss. I can also guide you through the grocery store to show you what to buy and what not to buy as far as ingredients go. Lastly, this is my favorite: Fridge and/or pantry clean out with possible reorganization upgrade! If you just moved and need to get rid of old or expired items, if you were diagnosed with a disease that has a specific eating pattern to it or if you just decided that you want to move towards more authentic and natural products, I can help you with that! It can be up to an 8 hour service with a consultation to start with. I come over, take everything out of the fridge or pantry, give it a good clean out, read the ingredients and the only things that go back in are the things that we agreed upon. Pretty cool huh?

If you are looking for a way to learn how to set boundaries with your schedule, food choices or even more discipline with your workouts or time management, The Yoga Health Club might be for you. I don't know anything who wouldn't be a good candidate actually. In the Yoga Health Club we move from surviving and just barely getting by to thriving in our own bodies, our own environment and we take back and redefine what HEALTH is, together.
